Fireside chats are a great way to have casual conversations with your peers about the state of the industry. These sessions provide a safe place where you can share challenges you may be having, and others can offer potential solutions for you. No topic is off limits. All fireside chats will take place the afternoon of the last day of the conference, on Thursday, April 18, 2019. Download the General Conference Preliminary Agenda from the Users Group Conference website to get details on times and start planning your afternoon.
(Disclaimer: As much as we wish we could chat by a fire and make s'mores, there will be no actual bonfire during these sessions.)
Analyzing historical data and donor trends will help you better prepare for your future campaign strategy. With Andar, you can run the Leadership by Individual or the Leadership by Organization report, and select all accounts, those in a structure node, or those in a warehouse. You can analyze up to 20 years of giving and also choose specific leadership levels to review!
Each constituent in the report will be flagged with various codes to identify whether their gift was increasing, flat, decreasing, recovered, renewed, lapsed, or new. Andar can do this for the personal gift, their combined gift, as well as the RUM portion of their gift.
Andar will analyze churn for each leadership level independently as well as non-leadership level constituents and again for RUM dollars specifically. For each group, the report will contain:
Number of givers - the number of accounts in this group.
Number of increased givers - the number of accounts in this group who gave less in the prior year than the given year.
Number of decrease givers - the number of accounts in this group who gave less in the given year than in the prior year.
Number of flat givers - the number of accounts in this group who gave the same in the given year and the prior year.
Number of recovered givers - the number of accounts in this group who gave in the given year but didn’t in the prior year but gave in some year before that. In other words, those who restarted giving after having stopped.
Number of renewed givers - the number of accounts in this group who gave the current year and also gave the year before.
Number of lapsed givers - the number of accounts in this group who didn’t give in the current year but gave the year before.
Number of new givers - the number of accounts in this group who have never given before.
Number of renewed leaders - the number of accounts at this leadership level who have also given in the prior year at the same leadership level.
Number of lapsed leaders - the number of accounts at this leadership level who have not given at the same leadership level in the current year but did the year before.
Number of new leaders - the number of accounts at this leadership level who either didn’t give the year before or gave at any other lower or higher leadership level or gave at a non-leadership level.
RUM dollar - the total giving of Resource Under Management (RUM) from accounts at this leadership level.
Number of RUM givers - the number of accounts whose RUM gift total falls within this leadership level.
(Note that a constituent may be counted in more than one category.)
